Autograph sessions and Photo Booth 2025 updates
For this years Auckland Spring event we have a truly EPIC line-up of tv and movie stars, bigger than anything we have ever attempted. We are expecting massive crowds and demand for Autographs and photos with the guests and as such have been planning accordingly.
Things to expect and plan for are.
AUTOGRAPHS
- - All guests are signing in Hall 6, beside the main entry. This hall will open approx. 30 minutes before the main halls each day.
- - Autograph tokens will go on sale through iTicket from October 1st (September 30th for VIP pass holders). These will be on-sale at the event as well, however we do have limits on what we can sell (based on what the guest can sign), so early purchase is recommended.
- - Redemption. All tokens need to be redeemed at the token booth and will be provided with a printed token for use with the relevant guest.
- - All guests are doing multiple signing sessions each day, fitting around Main stage panels, photo sessions and breaks. Session times will be listed on each guests webpage on the Armageddon site and in the event show guide.
- - Cost applies for ALL guests Autographs. Costs do vary so please check this before purchase. We have been very fortunate to negotiate more than reasonable charges for Autographs compared to overseas events.
- - Animation guests. These guests have two different Autograph charges. A standard rate for supplied 8x10 photos and a slightly higher rate for Pop Vinyls, prints, personal items and statues. This is a standard practice internationally and all rates are reduced compared to international events.
- - Due to expected high demand, personalisation of items and photos will be limited at best.
PHOTOGRAPHS
- - Photo sessions are taking place on section #48 in the main exhibitor hall.
- - TWO photo booths. With the planned tremendous response to the guests attending we have created two photo booths to ensure that we get through all photos.
- - Printing. All photos are to be collected immediately after being taken at the photo printing area upon exit to the booth. So no ques or delays
- - Digital files. If you want a high-quality digital file of the picture, this can be purchased for $12 from iTicket or at the token booths.
- - Photo tokens will go on sale through iTicket from October 1st (September 30th for VIP pass holders). These will be on-sale at the event as well, however we do have limits on what we can sell (based on what the guest can sign), so early purchase is recommended.
- - A second token booth will be in the photo area for redemption and sale of tokens.
- - All photo tokens purchased MUST be redeemed before entering the que so that you have a physical token to hand to the photo booth minder.
- - A maximum of THREE attendees can be in a photo at one time with a guest or guests. If you have a larger group, you will need to buy a second token for each three people.
- - Attendees need to be at the photo booth at the designated start time for each session. If the session finishes early the guest will departs. There is no refunds if you miss out.
For the 2025 Auckland Spring event, there will be a token booth in Hall 6 and another token booth in Hall 3/4 next to the photo booths where you can purchase both autograph and photo tokens with your fave stars. These tokens will be available to purchase throughout the weekend, so if there's someone you really want to meet make sure you grab yours once you get to 'Geddon!
You can bring in your own item to be signed, or pick one of the amazing photos we'll have on offer for each guest! There will also be a professional photographer to capture a snap which will be printed out for you almost immediately as you exit the photo booth, and digital versions will be available to purchase separately.
How do I get a digital copy of my photo?
In 2025 we have introduced an option to purchase a digital download code along with your photo token through iTicket and at the token booth on the day. This means that when you purchase your photo token, you will have the option to either purchase the standard printed photo option, or the printed photo and a digital download for an extra $12 per photo.
E.g. If a photo with a guest is $60, you can either pay $60 for the photo and get a 6x8" printed copy, or pay $72 and get the photo, a 6x8" printed copy, and a one-time code to use on the Cactus Photography website to access a digital copy of your photo.
How do I access my digital copy of my photo?
If you choose to purchase the extra $12 digital download, you will receive an extra token from the token booth with your photo token, and at the photo booth you can swap that for a code direct from the photographer to be used on the Cactus Photography website. Photos should be available on the website within 24 hours, and with each code you will be able to access and download ONE digital hi res photo, so make sure you get the right one.
What can I get signed by guests?
- 8x10" photo - Guests will have a selection of 8x10" photos available to sign for a cost (price varies between each guest, check their individual bio pages on the Armageddon website for the specific prices)
- 11x17" photo - Some guests (animation and cosplay guests) might have a selection of 11x17" photos available to sign for a cost (price varies between each guest, check their individual bio pages on the Armageddon website for the specific prices)
- Personal item - You are able to bring in items to be signed such as books, games, DVDs etc. For some guests the price for a personal item to be signed is different, you will need to check each guest page individually. Please do not bring in items that are not permitted in the event such as bladed prop weapons etc.
- For the 2025 Auckland Spring Armageddon ONLY, Elijah Wood will be signing Sting replica swords, but in order to get your sword signed, you MUST follow a few certain rules to be allowed the bring it into the event. First off, the sword must be securely wrapped up, preferably in a box, and under no circumstances will be allowed out of the packaging outside of the signing area. When it is time for the signing session, you will need to make yourself known to the Armageddon staff so they are aware that you are bringing a sword and they will help direct you when meeting the guest and getting your item signed.
- Pop Vinyl - Some guests have a separate price for signing pop vinyls, but these work the same as personal items, you bring in your own pop to be signed, the guest will not have stock they will be selling on the day
How do I pay for the autographs?
You are able to purchase tokens for autographs and selfies from the guests from the Armageddon Token Booth at each event, which can be found next to the Celebrity Signing Area at each event.
When can I buy tokens?
For the 2025 Auckland Spring event, tokens will be available to pre-purchase through iTicket from 9am October 1st to the general public (for VIP pass holders they will have 24 hour early access to purchase tokens from 9am September 30th). At the actual event there will be a token booth in Hall 6 and another token booth in Hall 3/4 next to the photo booths where you can purchase both autograph and photo tokens with your fave stars. These tokens will be available to purchase throughout the weekend until they are sold out, so if there's someone you really want to meet make sure you grab yours ASAP. You can buy any tokens at any time, so if you are wanting to buy a token for Sunday, you are able to purchase this on the Saturday, just make sure you don't loose your token!
Do I need a token for all autographs?
Yes, all autographs have a cost and you need a token for each individual autograph you're wanting.
What if I miss the autograph or photo session?
Make sure you are there standing in line at the start of the session. If you miss one session, you will be able to use your token at another session either day, but if you miss all the autograph or photo sessions due to not lining up in time, you will not receive a refund for any unused tokens.
What does a VIP Pass get me with Autographs and Photos?
If you have a VIP pass, you are able to show it to Armageddon staff in the signing or photo area, and you will be able to be moved to the front of the queue.
What if I can't make it to Armageddon but still want an autograph?
Absentee packs will be available to purchase through the Armageddon Online Store a couple of weeks before the event.
