Neil Fanning, the consummate entertainer, has carved an illustrious path through the realms of film, television, and live performance over his remarkable 35-year career. With a portfolio boasting more than 5O credits across cinema, TV, and commercials, Neil's multifaceted talents have made him a sought-after figure in the entertainment industry.
Perhaps most famously known as the voice behind the beloved Scooby Doo in both international blockbusters, “Scooby Doo” and “Scooby Doo Monsters Unleashed”, Neil has left an indelible mark on pop culture. Yet, his repertoire extends far beyond voice acting with diverse roles as a stuntman and actor in films such as "Elvis”, "Nim's Island”, "Daybreakers”, "Peter Pan”, Jacki Chan’s “First Strike”, and “Street Fighter” among many others. Not to mention his memorable appearances in television series including "Sea Patrol," "Wanted," and "Mermaids," as well as numerous commercials that have graced screens worldwide.
Neil has attained several prestigious industry memberships including the U.S.A Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Australian Cinema Pioneer, Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) and the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (ACTRA). He is also a Film and Television Safety Specialist Advisor for the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
Neil's journey into show business began in June 1991, captivating audiences as an opening-day performer at Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. For 14 years, he brought thrills, laughter, and excitement to millions of people as he portrayed all the roles in the acclaimed Police Academy Stunt Show and managed the number #1 show for six years,
earning him accolades including Employee of the Month three times and Employee of the Year in 1997. In addition, he was a precision drift stunt driver in the Hollywood Stunt Driver Show for three years. His tenure at Warner Bros Movie World also saw him representing the theme park internationally and entertaining audiences across Asia with live performances as an actor and stuntman.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Neil was nominated f o r Australia's International Performer of the Year at the 1998 International Theme Park Awards (IAAPA) held in the USA, a testament to his global impact as an entertainer.
Neil's expertise isn't confined to the screen; he is also a skilled stuntman and precision driver, thrilling audiences for four years with on-track high- speed precision stunt driving shows at the Gold Coast Indy 500 car race, precision and drift driving for Holden and BMW new car launches and numerous live-action shows in the corporate entertainment arena.
Neil continues to captivate audiences, writing, producing, and performing in a myriad of roles including over 20 interactive comedy characters to the Master of Ceremonies at major corporate and government events in Australia and internationally.
Today Neil's passion for entertainment burns as brightly as ever and he is in constant demand performing as the Voice of Scooby Doo at Comicon events across Australia and around the world. His enduring versatility and talent ensure that his legacy in the entertainment industry will endure for years to come.
