Full Steam (Machine) ahead for Springeddon
If you’ve been itching to get your hands on a Steam Machine to see how it plays, Springeddon is your chance.
The Armageddon Expo team have in their possession not one, but two of the exclusive and hard-to-get Steam Machines, which will be at the heart of an impressive gaming set up at the Spring Auckland Armageddon Expo.
The Steam Machine boasts state-of-the-art gameplay alongside portability to create a piece of technology that seems to showcase the best of PC and console gaming.
Armageddon’s Gaming Lead Duncan says having the machines at the Auckland show will take the gaming zone to a new level.
“It’s pretty cool that people will get their hands on the new Steam Machine. I suspect for most, it’ll be the first time they will get to see one in real life and try it out,” he says.
The machine is said by Valve to have more than six times the horsepower of the Steam Deck, and is equipped to play the entire library of Steam games. It also has the capabilities of a PC, with users being able to install applications and even another operating system.
A selection of games, which will be announced closer to the show, will be free to play at Springeddon. There will also be a Steam controller to try out, which comes highly rated in early gamer reviews.
The Spring Auckland Armageddon Expo kicks off this Labour Weekend, October 23rd-26th. Visit the website for ticketing and event details: www.armageddonexpo.com
